The church building collapsed during an ordination service for Bishop Akan Weeks, but unfortunately leading to the death of over 100 people and leaving many injured.
According to Ini Edo, says she could have been among the victims on Sunday, but she was held up in traffic from Calabar to Uyo for 7 hours, on her way to the church venue.

" 2 days ago, I was very bitter about the unreliable nature of some of our airlines cancelling flights without prior notice thereby hindering my plans to attend a church service ceremony held in Uyo. Now out of determination, I took a flight to Calabar with the hope of being in Uyo just in time for the service since the journey between Calabar and Uyo was just about an hour. The journey ended up taking over 7hours because of an unexplainable traffic. No accident, good road no hitches just a headlock traffic. Whilst in the car, I started wondering why all my efforts to be at the service was being thwarted... then I got a call, that the entire church building had collapsed during the course of the service... Once again, God had saved me... My heart goes out to the families of the departed... May the good Lord grant them the heart to bear the loss. Everyday we see a blessing... It's not because we are special or better... It's the exceeding grace of our Lord Jesus. I am so humbled and grateful to God for preserving me... Happy thanksgiving"-

Building are always collapsing in Nigeria. it is disheartening that worship building are doing down this way especially churches. The case of the collapse Synagogue church guest house in Ikotun, lagos is still in court.The questions are; that, are the materials used in construction sub-standard? what is the history of the building? Was the foundation meant for that building originally and so on.
Here is my candid and honest opinion over the ugly inciddent that took place in Reigner Bible Church Uyo that claimed the lives of so many citizens and worshipers.
But before i Progress further i would like to first sympathise with the bereaving Families may God grant them the solitude to bear their lost ones in Jesus Name Amen, And to those that lost their precious life may God grant them eternal rest Amen.
There is of no disputing the fact that so many Buildings in Nigeria are built with Sub-standard and wornout materials by some wicked and unscrupulous Elements in the Name of contractors whose only aims are to make more Profits and gains that they would have under normal circumstances not been able to make. Its never in their nature to think or consider the after affect of their wicked Actions or what their negligence of not using Standard Building material will result on the short and Long run but that is the sad story though.
Now that is by the way, as long as am concernded the issue of Sub-Standard material or wicked contractors does not come into Play in what transpired in Reigner Bible Church People will ask me why do i say so well this is my reason. I think the real target of the collapse Building is the Governor.
According to Informations from Reports on how and when the Building came crashing down on the worshipers, i learnt that the Building collapse not shortly after the Governor of the State arrived the Church. So one will like to question how come the Building did not collapse the night before the Service or the morning before the Service take off or why not wait till after the Service has ended when everybody must of gone home or is God a wicked God to allow his children who are worshiping him to perish not even without notice, why was it not Long the Governor entered the church that it happened. That is why i concluded that the main target is the Governor and no other Person. Some powerful Forces in Uyo knew quite well that the Governor will be attending that Service on that same day and the witches and wizard in Uyo in relation to Political reasons programed the Building to collapse so they can get the governor but they fail in their bid instead they suceeded in killing others..
