Sleepless Scribbles Poem

All sleepless nights, the world asleep, My hand is a ready pen, secrets to keep. Under my pillow, it lies with grace, A pen that never sleeps, my thoughts embrace.

In shadows and whispers, I find my might, This pen is my weapon, my solace in fright. When loneliness beckons and darkness descends, With ink as my armor, the solitude bends. Writing, a journey, a spiritual flight, It brings forth the dawn from the depths of the night. Each stroke a reflection, a spark of the soul, My gift of inspiration, my heart’s steady toll.

I weave my dreams into words on the page, An unspoken story, a life’s quiet stage. In joy, I inscribe the light in my heart, In sorrow, I channel the shadows apart.

I write when I'm happy, in laughter I flow,I write when I'm down, letting feelings bestow. When hope starts to falter and doubts fill the air,I write, I release, I lay my soul bare.

So let the night linger, let silence remain,With pen poised and ready, I welcome the rain.For in every heartbeat, in every soft sigh, I find my voice rising, my spirit will fly.

Baby L. First Christmas: A journey of Love and Gratitude!

Christmas is a special time of year that brings happiness and warmth to many people around the world. It is a celebration of love, joy, and the connections that unite us, inviting everyone to enjoy its magical spirit. Christmas marks the birth of Jesus Christ. Spending Christmas with family is a touching reminder of the love and support we have, especially during this meaningful time. This year, I want to take a moment to thank all our friends and family who have shown us kindness since our daughter was born.

Your constant support and love have made this holiday season truly memorable. We received wonderful gifts from friends near and far; friends from the USA, Paris, Greece, and even a thoughtful German doctor who surprised us with gifts for our little girl. It fills my heart with joy to think of the generous spirit of those who have been with us. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and godmothers in Nigeria for their unwavering support. I also want to extend my thanks to my wonderful friends who have been there for me. A special mention goes to my dear friends in Germany, who took the time to prepare and bring me delicious meals during their visit. I will always cherish the kindness of my dear friend, Mrs. C. Omoruyi.

This Christmas was particularly joyful as we gathered at Grandma's house, surrounded by family who brought laughter and love. There’s something special about being with loved ones, sharing stories, and making lasting memories. As we celebrated, I felt so grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey. Your presence reminds me that we are never alone, and that family and friendship are what truly brighten this season.

As we wrap up this year, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May the upcoming year be filled with love, joy, and all the wonderful moments life can bring.
