The Joy of Being a Godmother

How can we not believe in God? His mercy is everlasting, his faithfulness unparalleled, and his grace infinite. I've never encountered a God like this before—truly amazing. My beloved niece has just become a mother, and I am officially a godmother for the first time. Reflecting on her pregnancy journey, I can't help but feel a stronger belief in God's existence and his wonders for humanity. Welcome, baby Anaya; may those who bless her be blessed in return. Glory be to God for the great things he has done. Praise to Him, who answers our prayers. There is a God. A godmother. There's something inherently unique and divine about the concept. Children are gifts from God, and the journey of raising them to adulthood often requires spiritual and moral guidance. This notion of a godmother aligns with the Christian understanding of the role in real life as well. When I was a little girl, I didn't officially have a godmother until my teenage years, but every woman who showed me love naturally became one in my eyes. My first godmother was my American mom, Jacque, whose life has been a source of inspiration, alongside my Nigerian grandmothers.
I have learned so much from each of them, and I am truly grateful to have met them. Their love and guidance have meant everything to me, even to this day. For the longest time, I have dreamed of having a godchild, and now that dream has come true. I am praying for even more blessings to come. I am deeply thankful to God for this wonderful gift. Today's scripture is from Psalm 139:13-16 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
