Zelensky on the Brink: The Challenges Ahead as Trump Sets a Deadline for Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has given Ukraine less than a week to agree to his plan – which many view as favoring Russia – to end the war, as President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that his country is experiencing "one of the most difficult moments" in its history. "I’ve had many deadlines, but when things are going well, you usually extend them. But Thursday is the final day," the US president mentioned in a radio interview with Fox News.
The 28-point plan proposed by Trump pressures Kyiv to give up territory, reduce its military size, and commit to not joining NATO in return for an end to the conflict, which are all long-standing demands from the Kremlin. Zelensky described it during a video address to the nation on Friday as presenting Ukraine with a choice between sacrificing its dignity or losing a crucial ally. Later that day, while speaking from the Oval Office, Trump expressed confidence that the plan was a "path to peace" but noted it still required Zelensky’s consent. However, he implied that Zelensky had little option but to agree. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned in a security council briefing that he had received the US proposal and believed it "could serve as the foundation for a final peace agreement." The Russian president stated he was prepared to "demonstrate flexibility" as agreed during the summit with Trump in Alaska this August, but added that Russia had not "substantively" discussed the agreement with the US. 'A very tough decision' In his video address, Zelensky remarked, "The pressure on Ukraine is currently at its peak. Ukraine may now confront a very tough decision: either lose its dignity, risk losing a key partner, face 28 challenging points, or endure a very harsh winter." Zelensky stated that Ukraine would "work calmly" and swiftly with the US and its allies to bring the war to an end. He also spoke with US Vice President JD Vance on Friday regarding the plan.

Zelenskyy is either Ukraine surrender or face challenges of 28 points
For Russian to stop the war, Ukraine will not join NATO and Russia will take some land.
Russian want to make sure Ukraine will be under them and they will be the one protecting them.
